Geolivia Estate Villas

We want our guests to have a safe and relaxing holiday in the Geolivia Estate Twin Villas. For this reason, we have compiled a brief list of rules and regulations that all our VIP guests should comply with. By confirming a reservation at Geolivia Estate you accept the following rules and regulations:

Number of Guests at the Twin Villas

All financial agreements and reservations are made for a specific number of guests. This number must always be specified and confirmed by the client during booking process. A maximum number of seven (7) guests per villa shall be permitted (unless agreed otherwise in advance).

Arrival

We must be aware of your arrival information for check-in time at least 24 hours before your arrival at the Geolivia Estate Twin Villas. It is required that you notify us if your ferry/flight is canceled or delayed for any reason, so that we can notify your villa escort and VIP transfer about the delay.

Escort to your Villa

If not agreed otherwise the property manager will meet you at our rentals, in order to escort you to your selected villa. Port or airport VIP pick-ups are free of charge. You will also be provided with our manager’s phone number to contact for advice or assistance.

Identification

Upon check-in, all our VIP guests must submit their identity cards or passports and pay off the remaining balance (if there is one). The identity cards/passports will be photocopied by us and returned immediately to their owners.

Check-in & Check-out

Your stay at the rentals starts at 15:00 of your check-in date and ends at 11:00 of your check-out date. While you may arrive later than 15:00 on your arrival day, being punctual for the appointment set with our manager is important for the convenience of all parties.

On the day of your departure, you will need to leave the rentals no later than 11:00, except otherwise agreed. Late check-out may be possible, but it is subject to availability and there is a fixed rate of extra charges. Moreover, if guests do not check out on time, there is a fixed amount to be charged. Note that 30 minutes before your departure (10:30) you will need to be available for the inspection of the villa regarding damages and losses.

Residential Use

Guests have to comply with the laws governing Greece during their stay at the villa. They are not allowed to bring illegal, explosive, flammable, or poisonous substances or objects to the Estate. Guests are not allowed to violate the law in other ways; their purpose for renting the villa is only for residential use and never for unlawful or offensive purposes. Finally, guests are not allowed to sublet the villa, or any part of it to persons who are not included in the list of guests when agreeing on the rental.

Smoking

Smoking is not allowed in the Twin Villas interiors. However, guests who wish to smoke are free to do so, on the terrace/balcony/garden/pool. Never leave cigarette buds on the ground or any exterior space. If there is evidence of smoking in the villa such as bad odor and/or damages, the guests will be charged with the amount needed to repair damaged items back to their original state and/or special cleaning for materials such as pillows, curtains, etc.

It is of paramount importance that guests should respect the Estate’s no smoking policy, because there are bookings, especially for this reason. Guests who check in at the villa and find out that they can smell cigarette smoke might request to cancel their reservation, leading to major costs for Geolivia Estate.

Personal Belongings & Security

Guests are accountable for the villa security during occupancy. Even though Crete is considered a very safe island, you must always keep all doors and windows locked securely when you are not on the premises. The Geolivia Estate Twin Villas owners or their representatives are not responsible for loss of personal belongings or valuables. Note that the residence is equipped with a safety box.

Damage / Loss / Injury

Upon arrival, our guests are informed of the available appliances and amenities within the Estate. They are obliged to use them according to the indications of the Geolivia Estate Twin Villas owners or representatives. Any damage or loss of objects and appliances should be immediately become known to the Geolivia Estate Twin Villas owners or representatives.

Guests will be asked to pay for the value of damaged or missing goods. Moreover, guests are expected to use all the provided amenities in such a way as to avoid injuries.

The owners and the property are not responsible for any type of accident, injury, or illness, which may occur while on the premises. By accepting a reservation at Geolivia Estate, it is agreed that all guests assume the risk of any harm arising from their (or their guests’) use of the premises.

Children Supervision

Even though the Geolivia Estate Twin Villas are family-friendly, a responsible adult should always supervise children on the premises.

Swimming Pool

Use the swimming pool on your own responsibility. Always, keep the children under supervision. Since the pools are intended for large groups and families, always shower before the use of the swimming pool (there is an outdoor shower for your convenience). Do not enter the house wet or use indoor furniture by the pool.

Pets (allowed only under special agreement at the Geolivia Estate Twin Villas), are never allowed to enter the swimming pool by any means. There is a pool cleaning schedule, once every two days.

Vandalism

Any damage caused within the property on footpaths, grass, furniture, equipment, etc will be assessed by the Geolivia Estate Twin Villas owners or their representatives. The costs of possible repairs or replacement items will be covered by the individual responsible.

Candles & Fire

At no time, is it allowed to light a fire on any of our premises. It is not allowed to light candles, indoors or outdoors, due to potential damages and possible fire, as the area around the Twin Villas can be dry during the summer and easily flammable. Greece and Crete have suffered a lot because of fires.
Please, act responsibly.

House Keys

Guests will be charged for the cost or replacement of each set of mishandled or lost keys, cards, or telecontrols.

Complaints & Maintenance

The owners of the Geolivia Estate Twin Villas will make sure that all electrical appliances, Wi-Fi, electricity, water supply, pool filtration system, air conditioning, cable TV, etc. are in excellent working condition. In case of a maintenance problem, the owners must be immediately notified by the guests, to arrange an immediate solution. However, in such cases, no refunds or rate adjustments can be made.

Entry into the Twin Villas by staff

Maids and staff reserve the right to enter the Twin Villas to perform their duties such as maid service or any repairs necessary. In order to respect your VIP privacy, and not interrupt your stay, we will make every effort to schedule those brief showings at time slots convenient for you.

Special Circumstances

In special circumstances, the Geolivia Estate Twin Villas owners reserve the right to enter the premises even while the guests are not on the spot.
Example: when it is necessary to prevent some kind of danger such as fire or flood. Our guests will always be notified about the details of the incident.

Guests’ Absence

Should the guests wish to be absent from the premises for more than 24 hours, the owners/representatives of the Geolivia Estate Twin Villas must be informed for security reasons.

Cleaning

The Geolivia Estate Twin Villas are disinfected and cleaned thoroughly, prior to your arrival. The rates include a daily housekeeping service, which comprises of cleaning the bathrooms and kitchen. The bed linens and towels are changed once every 3 days.
Attention: the above mentioned maid service does not include on-request services such as hostess, private chef, personal laundry, babysitting, etc.

Quiet Hours

Quiet hours for Greece during summer are 15:00 – 17:30 and 23:00 – 07:00. Even though the Geolivia Estate Twin Villas are situated in a remote area and there are no close neighbors, making too loud noise could still cause complaints.
Guests must not disturb, inconvenience or endanger neighbors during any moment of day or night. Note that the quiet hours during October are 15:00 – 17:30 and 22:00 – 07:30.

Payment & Cancellation Policy for Non-Refundable Rates

Payment Policy: We understand that your travel plans can change after your reservation at the Geolivia Estate Twin Villas. However, your credit card will be charged at the time of your booking.

Therefore, in the case of cancellation, modification, early departure or no- show, your credit card will be charged with the initial amount of the reservation.

Cancellation Policy: No free cancellation is allowed for this rate, special conditions apply.

Payment & Cancellation Policy for Refundable Rates

Incomparable Internet Rate
Payment Policy: The reservation needs to be guaranteed by a valid credit card (with sufficient balance) at the time of booking. Once the reservation is completed, Geolivia Estate has the right to pre-authorize the total reservation amount from the provided credit card, that will be temporarily held and deducted from the customer’s credit card limit. This hold is not a charge, and no funds will be debited from the customer’s credit card. The hold falls off within 30 days at the latest.
The preauthorization process ensures online security and privacy of the cardholder and prevents fraudulent attempts.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Guests will be refunded the full amount of booking fees if they cancel the booking up to 3 months prior to their arrival day (check-in) to the Geolivia Estate Twin Villas.
  • Guests will be refunded 50% of booking fees if they cancel the booking up to 1 month prior to their arrival (check-in) to the Geolivia Estate Twin Villas.
  • All cancelations must take place by 12:00 CET (midday), on the appropriate day.
  • Damage deposit in cash of €2.000 per villa at the day of check-in, to be refunded upon check-out, after inspection of the premises.

Children Policy

The Geolivia Estate Twin Villas are family-friendly rentals.

  • Baby cots are provided free of charge, for children 2 years old and under.
  • Children up to 2 years old can stay for free when using existing beds.
  • Children older than 2 years old are charged as adults if an extra bed is required.

Disabled Guests

The interiors of the Geolivia Estate Twin Villas have stairs, but no elevator. If you happen to have a disability or cannot handle stairs, it is not advisable to book your holidays with us.

Pets

Pets are not allowed at the Geolivia Estate Twin Villas. Exceptions can be made only for special cases upon request. In the case we agree to accept your pet, all possible damages caused by it, will be charged to assure the repair or replacement of the damaged items.

Environmental consciousness

We kindly ask our VIP guests to comply with the above rules and regulations and also to be environmentally conscious. Before leaving the Geolivia Estate Twin Villas, please make sure that you have turned off all lights, electrical appliances and air-conditioning.
